Support for drone manufacturers: The government launches a grant program under «Made in Ukraine»

Ukrainian drone manufacturers will have the opportunity to receive significant support from the state through a grant program that provides financing on preferential terms. According to the government's decision, companies engaged in the production of drones can receive up to 80% of the cost of their project in the form of a grant. This initiative will be available to manufacturers throughout Ukraine.

The decision to launch the grant program was made by the government at a meeting on May 3, 2024 and confirmed by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. According to Deputy Minister of Economy Nadia Bigun, this is an important step within the framework of the "Made in Ukraine" strategy aimed at supporting domestic manufacturers.

The preferential regime of granting grants to drone manufacturers should contribute to the development of this industry in all regions of Ukraine. According to Nadiya Bigun, this program will not only stimulate the creation of new jobs and increase tax revenues, but also promote the popularization of technical and IT professions among young people.

According to the terms of the grant program, drone manufacturers will have the opportunity to use the funds received for various purposes, including the purchase, delivery and installation of equipment. In addition, they will be able to use their own funds to replenish working capital.

This initiative is an addition to previous measures to support manufacturers of the Ukrainian drone sector. Until now, preferential conditions for obtaining grants were available only to enterprises operating in territories not controlled by the government.
